Central FFA To Host March 7th Blood Drive

Central FFA will host a Blood Drive on March 7th at Central High School. One can donate either whole blood or double reds. If you would like to donate, contact Bill Bretzman or Bret Sorensen at (815)694-2321 ext. 2113 to schedule an appointment. There have been changes in guidelines for who can donate blood. If you are unsure if you qualify to donate, call 1-800-RED-CROSS.

Mobile Vet Center To Visit KCC

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs “Mobile Vet Center” will be at Kankakee Community College from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. March 13 to provide services for veterans and their families.

Appointments are not required.

The Mobile Vet Center offers outreach services as well as individual, family, and group counseling for a number of issues. Services are available to veterans who served in any...

Go-Getters Meet In February, Visit Area Nursing Home

The Ashkum Go-Getters met Saturday, February 11 in the Catholic Church Hall in Ashkum.

A Health and Safety report was given by David Denson on “Nosebleeds”. Members discussed the annual 4-H Auction which was held January 21 and raised funds for the 4-H programs. The club decided to donate left over bingo prizes to the Kyler Kares Program.
